Answer

Installing ODude Ecard Pro and ODude Greetings FREE version is as easy as other Joomla components.

Download the files you wish to install and upload it from your joomla administrator interface.

Check this URL for detail to install. This is same for all joomla extension including this. http://help.joomla.org/content/view/1685/151/

1. Installation.

The standard installation and deinstallation of the component is covered in the official documentation available from joomla.org

1.1. To install the component call up the Joomla! administration interface.
1.2. Go to the component installation tab (Extensions -> Install / Uninstall).
1.3. Select the component file to be uploaded from your computer. Click "Upload File & Install"
1.4. Make sure no errors are reported during installation.

If there are errors please check that the following folders are accessible for writing and execution:
/components/
/administrator/components/
/images/ecard  (ODude Ecard)
/images/ecardg (ODude Greetings)
1.5. Installation is complete. The component is available from the main menu of the administration panel (Components -> ODude Ecard/Greetings ).

2. Publishing Ecards.

2.1.Create the categories related to ecards.
• Please use only Latin letters or numbers in the file names.
• No special symbols are allowed.
• We recommend creating meaningful file names – e.g. Love_large.jpg, Love_thumb.jpg, Love_banner.jpg, Love_bg.jpg

2.2. Go to the file upload page (Components -> ODude Ecard/Greetings -> Ecards).
2.3. Select the file for uploading from your computer and click "Save" in the upper panel.
2.4. All ecards are stored under /images/ecard (PRO) & /images/ecardg (FREE). If you can's see file inside than chmod 777 to folder.

Make necessary changes as it is asked on 'setting'.

To preview your ecards check your site with this url as below.

http://your_joomla_site.com/joomla_installation folder/index.php?option=com_odudecard

http://your_joomla_site.com/joomla_installation folder/index.php?option=com_odudeg

The better way  to preview is by installing ODude Ecard Menu Module from odude.com to check and preview the cards you have created.

Don't forget to enable odudecardmenu from 'Module Manager'

Actually, i can see the categories, but the e-cards are not displayed even i had uploaded successfully.. it shows a successfully uploaded message but doesn't display in the list of E-cards...

If you are installing FREE version than check joomla_root/images/ecardg folder is exists or not.
If you are installing PRO version than check joomla_root/images/ecard folder is exists or not.
set chmod 777 from your ftp software or from server file manager.
You can check settings at ODude Setting page.

i had installed odude pro, but then, i try to upload the ecards and it seems to be successful, but the ecards is not displayed. It only saved in stories/ecards...

It simply means you have not installed ODude Ecard Menu module and due to it you cannot see the categories.

Odude ecards free shows only one category which is selected as highlighted. When you make new category and it is selected as highlighted, other stops to show.

What is use of allowing to make new categories if you display only one. In this situation I will be compelled to put all cards under one category if I want to make all cards available.

This component is far from being considered for good ecards facility.

Removing the component from the site.

:-x

Hello,
Highlight category means showing the selected category at 'ECARD HOME' for particular occasion.
To show all the categories install 'ODude ECARD MENU" module.
You don't need to keep all the cards in same category.
Download in FREE

Menu module was already installed installed. Only highlihted category is shown. It has to be like this, i.e. only one category to be highlighted? The rest are giving a blank page.
Will you please explain me in which file is the Odude Profile and what I have to do.
Is there any complete documentation for installation?
Regards

Select menu item is used to highlight the menu you have chosen when clicked on the profile picture.

Secondly I have checked your site and you have not yet logged in into your administrator control panel and set the parameters of ODude Profile.
Don't forget to click SAVE at least once.
